Objectives

The Degree in Management Engineering has been taught at the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering since the 2003-2004 academic year.

The Degree belongs to the second cycle: two years of study to which students are admitted from any university engineering qualification.

The degree in Management Engineering provides students with:

  • specific skills which will enable them to carry out professional activity involved in production, marketing, economics, finances and so on.
  • in-depth training in the area of management, production and technology, in conjunction with a global view of legal aspects, which will allow graduates to move ahead in their profession.

The degree is based on several areas:

  • Production organisation, which provides tools for analysing and maximising resources of production and logistics systems.
  • Economics, which explains the models defining the behaviour of economic agents at an international, national and local level, with special emphasis on aspects of technological innovation.
  • Business administration, including elements of management, accounting, financial analysis, legal contexts, information systems, organisational structures, marketing, general management and strategy.

Also included are essential subjects such as Statistics, which provide the necessary quantitative tools and the techniques a professional engineer is required to know.
